Hall house,now large house.Late C15,extended C17,altered and extended early C20.MATERIALS:part timber frame with weatherboard and tile hanging,part brick and render with false timbering.Old tile and plain tile roofs of different heights and several gables.PLAN:former rectangular plan of two framed bays with three framed bay extension.Later extensions on north and east,forming irregular plan.EXTERIOR:two storeys.Three large chimneys with clay pots,one of which was inserted in C17.C20 casement windows,mostly leaded,some with lozenge shaped leading.Entrance(south)front:irregular.Single bay weather boarded gable on left with three-light windows.One single light and two three-light windows on first floor.On ground floor three-light square bay window and C20 door on right with decorative glazing both under small hipped,tile roof.To right of this is C20,three-light oriel window with small pent weathering.On right,set well back is large C20 extension with false timbering.INTERIOR:large timbers in C15 part with large jowled posts,arch braces and ties.In C17 part there are two original framed windows with diamond mullions,one of four,other of six lights.These windows are now enclosed by C20 extension and face on to staircase and hall.
