GV II

Stable building, now used for storage. Early C17, altered.
MATERIALS: timber frame with old elm boarding. Old tile roof,
half hipped on north, hipped on south over later, lower
extension.
PLAN: long rectangular plan of 7 framed bays, with elm-boarded
partitions in 3rd and 5th bays from south.
EXTERIOR: 5 fixed light windows of different sizes,
irregularly spaced on south-west front.
INTERIOR: queen strut roof with clasped purlins at south end,
queen post roof at north end. Straight braces. Many re-used
timbers.
