Hall house, now house. Late C15, altered and extended late C16
and C20.
MATERIALS: timber frame with painted render infill, part
painted brick. Old tile gabled roof with rafter ends visible,
catslide on south.
PLAN: L-plan, 4 x 3 framed bays, extension in angle.
EXTERIOR: Part 2 storeys, part one and a half storeys. 3
chimneys, one on front ridge with clay pots. C20 casement
windows with glazing bars. East entrance front has single bay
gable on right, underbuilt to roof tie in brick. C20 hipped
enclosed entrance porch with 2-light window and C20 entrance
door on right return. 2-bay section on left with 4-light
windows on ground floor and 2 gabled dormers with 2-light
windows.
INTERIOR: large plain ground floor joists in C15 part which
has truss in centre with large arched braces to roof tie, on
first floor and large, chamfered brackets from posts to
moulded beam on ground floor. Redundant crown post roof. C16
part has chamfered joists on ground floor with shield stops at
ends. Queen post roof.
