GV II* Two sets of paired terraces forming the north and west sides of Gordon Square and Dibley Square. 1974-6 by Ralph Erskine's Arkitektkontor; site architect Vernon Gracie; structural engineer, White, Young and Partners; main contractor, Shepherd Construction. Pale metric modular brick on timber frame with brown weatherboarding to nos. 5 and 6 Gordon Square, and to upper storeys of 2-4; blue weatherboarding to the rear of nos. 7-11 Gordon Square and nos. 1-5 Dibley Square. Blue metal roofs supported on plywood box beam purlins. Two storeys. Brown projecting porches to these and to nos. 7-11 Gordon Square and to 4-6 Gordon Road, with blue metal roofs. Metal hoods to the other houses. Timber windows with aluminium opening lights. Timber doors with glazed panel, some renewed in hardwood. The square is the distinctive plan of the Gordon Road development.Two opposing sets of Erskine garages are situated west of 4 and 5 Dibley Square; rectangular brick built structures with lean-to roofs; each set comprises five individual garages and with one exception, all retain original garage doors.
