Detached house. Early C19 with later C19 mansard roof. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, square and fish-scale slate and lead roof. EXTERIOR: Compact block in two storeys and attics, six windows, all plain sashes to chamfered openings. Segmental headed dormers, fourth one with double sash, repeated as double sashes at first and ground floors. First floor windows have delicate bowed balcony railings. Panelled door with radial fanlight off centre in bay three. Left return has two storey canted sash bay with cornice and blocking with inverted segmental parapets with ball finials. Right return includes dormer and large canted sash bay, those at ground floor with rounded top corners, and with conical slate roof behind parapet. There are various stacks. INTERIOR: Not inspected. This is one of a series of villas on the north side of Church Road with fine panoramic views to the south. It was probably similar to others in the street before extension and major modification, especially to the roof. Listing NGR: ST7614962335
