GV II

Bank. c1860 with C20 additions. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, roof not visible behind parapets. STYLE: consistent neo-Georgian. EXTERIOR: Three storeys, three windows, all twelve-pane sashes, at first floor with cornices on carved consoles, and central light to ground floor with shallow flanking panels and radial blind radial lunette. At ground floor door has been inserted to former window opening at left hand end. Plinth, first floor sill band, cornice and blocking, with central raised panel inscribed `BANK' in raised characters. Plain flank to left, in The Avenue, has small sash with cornice on brackets to former doorway, now blocked, and coped gable has deep ashlar stack with fluted frieze. Rear wall also sashed, and C20 additions. INTERIOR: Not inspected. Listing NGR: ST7595062329
