GV II

House. c1770 with late C20 alterations. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to front, Render to basement, rubble to rear, mansard roof altered to single pile parapeted to front, with stack in reconstituted stone on upper slope to front left. Staircase to rear. EXTERIOR: Two storeys, attic and basement, three-window front. First floor has three C20 aluminium windows in cyma moulded architraves with splayed jambs with stone sills with C20 balconettes. Ground floor has to left two C20 aluminium windows in cyma moulded architraves with splayed jambs with friezes and cornices over with stone sills, to right six-panel door with fielded and glazed panels in cyma moulded architrave with frieze and pediment over with three steps to Pennant paved crossover with C19 cast iron footscraper. Basement has two/two horned sash in plain reveal to left, nine-pane door to right, Render infilling under crossover, no area steps. Three C20 dormers. Moulded eaves cornice and coped parapet. Rear elevation has large six/six sash with border glazing to second half-landing of staircase, small ashlar extension off staircase up to first half-landing, C20 window to second floor and in three dormers. INTERIOR: Not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURE: Attached wrought iron railings and gate with shaped heads refixed on concrete bases.
