Boundary walls, gatepiers and gates. c1727. Ashlar. On central axis to south front of Manor (qv) fine pair of wrought iron gates with slender divided dogbars, and spearhead rails to concave gatehead, hung to large square rusticated piers on moulded bases, mainly concealed by later rise in road surface, and to moulded cappings carrying heraldic beasts with castellated crowns, set high on inner face of right hand pier cast iron cage with bell. To each side short quadrant of low ashlar wall, crowned with railings, and stopped to square capped piers. To right coped boundary wall c2-2.5m high, with two small steps taken back to south-east corner of Manor House front. To left boundary wall flanks road, and returned inside gardens as part of balustrade (qv) to west of forecourt.
