Four terrace houses stepped downhill from No. 9 to left. c1812. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, double pitched slate and concrete roofs with higher rear range and moulded stacks to coped party walls and right return. PLAN: Double depth plans. No. 9 off-square. EXTERIOR: Two storeys with basements, each house comprises a two-window front with door to left. Coped parapets, stopped cornices and ground floor platbands returned to left. To left of each house semicircular arch to set back six panel door with six/six pane sash window above. Windows to both floors to right are eight/eight pane sashes, some with crown glass. No. 9 has painted over cobweb fanlight. No.10 similar unpainted fanlight. No.11 has plain fanlight and single pitched roof sloping from rear ridge to front. No.12 has plain fanlight. INTERIORS: Not inspected. HISTORY: Part of the early development of Bathwick Hill, possibly overseen by John Pinch the Elder. The scale of these houses is lesser than the other terraces on the street.
