BELGRAVE PLACE (South side) Nos. 1-8 (Consec) (Formerly Listed as: CAMDEN ROAD (South Side) Belgrave Cottage and Nos 1 to 8 (consec) (Belgrave Place)

Terrace of eight houses, c1873. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, No. 1 with concrete tiled roof, No. 2 with clay double Roman tiles, Nos. 6-8 with slate roofs. Axial stacks of Limestone ashlar. EXTERIOR: Front elevation of two storeys and two bays each. Modest moulded cornice with string course at first floor. Ground floor windows have eared architraves with sills set on small plain brackets. Panelled timber doors with door cases set on scrolled brackets above. Oculus window to the left of each door. First floor windows have sills formed by a second string course with simple pairs of brackets below. Raised window head above with simple label mould details below. No.1 has aluminium windows, the remainder have one over one timber sashes with horns. Front areas are enclosed by cast iron spear-type railings set in a low wall terminated by plain gate piers. South garden fronts of three storeys, two bays at second floor, a large canted bat at first floor with the bay continuing down to ground floor. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
