11/08/72 (Formerly Listed as: RICHMOND PLACE, Beacon Hill Common Nos 1-56 (consec) & "White Shutters") GV II
Terrace houses. c1825. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, rendered and painted, triple Roman tile roofs. PLAN: Narrow single depth plan with rear outshuts, many of which have been converted/extended to make modern extensions. EXTERIOR: Two storeys, single window each, but Nos 40 and 41 and Nos 55 and 56 have two windows. Cornice and parapet, continuous apart from Nos. 52-53 which lack a parapet, but slightly stepped down between Nos. 44-45, 48-49, 51-52 and 53-54. Stack with pots on party wall. No.40 has plain sashes and modern porch. No.41 has six/six sashes and plain doorway. No.42 has six/six sashes. Nos 43 and 44 have plain sashes and modern porches. Nos 45 and 46 have six/six sashes and modern solid porches. Nos 47 and 48 have plain sashes, No.47 has pent to front and No.48 porch. Truncated shared stack. No.49 has plain sashes, set within stop-chamfered reveals, and modern gabled porch. Nos 50 and 51 have six/six sashes. No.52 has plain sashes, and gabled porch. No.53 has six/six sashes. No.54 has plain sashes and small additional window on first floor. No.55 has six/six sashes. No.56 has plain sashes. Rear elevation not seen. INTERIORS: Not inspected. Listing NGR: ST7510666276
