GV II
Group of three shops on corner site. Early C19. MATERIALS: Painted limestone ashlar, complex slate roofs with moulded stacks to party walls and rear. PLAN: Double depth. EXTERIOR: No.26 to left three storeys; single window front with returned coped parapet, coved cornice and ground floor platband, an eight/eight pane sash window to the second floor and a twelve/eight pane sash and balconette to first floor, C20 shop door to left and C20 set back half-glazed door to the right. No.26A narrow and lower than adjacent houses, three storeys. One-window front with coped parapet and cornice returned to right; six/six pane sash windows to upper floors; a cornice to shop fascia; set back door to left and two pane plate glass shop window to right. No.27 has altered C19 corner shop front with panelled pilasters, and above platband, blank first floor and single plain sash to second floor. INTERIORS: Not inspected.
