Four terrace houses on raised pavement. c1850. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, continuous single pitched slate roof with stone brackets to eaves and moulded stacks to party walls and right gable end. PLAN: Double depth plans with rear additions. EXTERIOR: Two storeys, each house has two-window front with blind first floor windows to party walls. Ground floor platband over banded rustication, six/six-pane sash windows with bracketed sills to the first floor, four-panel doors and overlights, except No.3 which are C20. Tall three-pane margin paned casement windows to ground floor. End and central houses have slightly stepped forward single window ranges, those and doors to Nos 2 and 3 at centre paired, above at eaves level, plain stepped pedimented panel. Left hand range of No.4, Lansdowne Villa, to far right, steps slightly forward, entrance in right return which has late C19 first floor canted bay on stone brackets. INTERIORS: Not inspected.
