Includes: Beaufort Lodge CLAREMONT ROAD. House, rear range of Beaufort House (qv). Early C19 with late C19 alterations. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roof with moulded stacks. EXTERIOR: Three storeys, irregular five-window front. Four windows to second and ground floor, coped parapet and coved cornice. First floor sill band cut away in places where sills have been lowered, six/six-pane sash windows, projecting simple stone porch to right of centre with moulded cornice and four-panel door with three-pane integral overlight. Above, over first floor, black iron clock face with gold Roman numerals and no hands. Right late C19 canted first floor bay with panelled pilasters, cornice and two/two-pane sashes with horizontal glazing bars. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
