GV II

House, now The Salisbury Conservative Club. c1800 with mid C19 alterations and additions. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar facade, rubblestone returns, concrete tile mansard roof. PLAN: Three dormers with two/two-pane sash windows and moulded stacks without chimney pots to gable ends. Three-unit plan with two-storey rear outshut and later rear additions. EXTERIOR: Two storeys and attic, symmetrical five-window front. Coped parapet, cornice and ground floor platband, six/six-pane sash windows to first floor, paired to outer ranges with blind windows to inside of each pair, paired plate glass sashes to ground floor flanking mid C19 enclosed porch with clasping Tuscan pilasters supporting returned cornice, frieze and blocking course, wide segmental arched fanlight over double three-panel doors with margin lights. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
