Detached villa. c1860. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, concrete tile roof. PLAN: Compact block, with set back entrance bay to right, and corresponding slight offset to left, steep fall in site enables full height extra floor to be developed at rear. EXTERIOR: Two storeys and lower ground floor. All windows are plain plate glass sashes, paired, with common sill on brackets to first floor, moulded cornice hood on console brackets to ground floor, carried across and continued all round as platband, and shared sill with brackets. Set back, right, single sash above original four-panel door with plain fanlight in plat arch with keystone and to impost band. Left return plain, with two eaves stacks, and right has two eaves stacks, corbelled from first floor level, above margin pane sash. Rear has two sashes at first floor, single and paired at ground floor, and lower ground floor not visible. Arch-headed gate-piers with incised ornament. INTERIOR: Not inspected. Included for group value.
