Houses and shop. c.1840.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to No.8, Burger Steakhouse (former No.7) of painted rubble with wrought iron weather-vane, pantiled roofs.
PLAN: Two parallel ranges, gable end to street and back-to-back, with shop on corner of Burger Steakhouse.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys. No.8 has doorway with two/two sash above, beneath coped gable, to street front. East front has further windows, one, two and three-light casements. Burger Steakhouse has good 1881 shopfront by J.Rock, Builder, timber pilasters and fascia, ashlar stall-riser, canted corner door with two-panels and two glazed panels above, four-light shop window to street and to return, narrow timber mullions and arched heads to lights. Two/two sash in floor above of gable end, coped gable with kneelers. Return front has two/two sash above shop. To right has three-bay double fronted house. Ten/ten sashes flank panelled door, six/six sashes above.
INTERIORS: Not inspected.
HISTORY: Listed as Late Georgian survivals, with a good shop-front.
