Three shops, right hand part of complete terrace (Nos 14-18 qv) separated by the entrance to St Swithin's Place. Late C19. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, roofs unseen. PLAN: Double depth plans. EXTERIOR: Four storeys including attic storey, each shop is two-window front. Continuous coped parapet rises to meet stacks at left gable end, attic cornice, second floor cornice, raised lintels and sills to attics, moulded eared architraves to second and first floors, those to first floor with pulvinated friezes and cornices. Facades are articulated by pilasters with circular panels to friezes of projecting consoles at second and ground floor levels, those to second floor have swan neck pediments, those to ground floor have segmental pediments. No.11 to right has good original shopfront with cornice to fascia and wide overlight flanked by ornamental consoles to half-glazed double doors. To each side are large two/one-pane sash windows with two pierced quincunxes to plinths. No.12 has narrower, four-pane overlight spans shopfront above overlight to half-glazed door to right and C20 plate glass window to left. No.13 has even narrower with a set back door and overlight to the right and a three-pane overlight to a two-pane plate glass shop window to the left. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
