Houses in informal terrace. Early/mid C19. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar with pantile and Welsh slate roofs. PLAN: Small double depth plan cottages. EXTERIOR: Two storeys, single bay frontages. No. 2 has two bay. Plain ashlar front except for parapet string, slightly above No. 1, stepped down to Nos. 3 and 4, which are paired. No. 1 has late C19 canted bay with plain sashes and plain sash window above. Plain doorway to right. Parapet, truncated stack to right end of ridge. No. 2 slightly larger cottage. Six/six sash windows. Six-panel door to left with trellis hood. Parapet, ashlar stack to right. Nos. 3 and 4 are handed pair with plain sash windows, plain doorways and shared stack. Cornice and parapet lines are continuous with No. 1 Dafford's Buildings (qv) and probably built together. Rear elevation not seen. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
