Formerly known as: No.2 LONDON ROAD. Warehouse and showroom. Early C19, altered 1910. Architect for alterations, Mowbray A Green. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, roof unseen. PLAN: Double depth plan. EXTERIOR: Four storeys, symmetrical ten-window front. Coped parapet, cornice third and second floor sill bands slightly returned, central swivel pivots to upper parts and fixed lower parts to paired twelve/eight-pane windows to two upper floors, similar windows with casement tops to first floor. Six Tuscan pilasters and entablature articulate five-bay ground floor, outer bays each have six-panel doors and square overlights to left, six/six-pane sash windows to right have banded rustication below the sill bands. Three central bays have C20 shopfronts with continuous three-pane overlights. Upper floors have paired windows to returns, rear has large double half-glazed loading-bay doors to each floor. INTERIOR: Not inspected. HISTORY: This building, together with No.3 (qv), was Vesey's Coach Factory, and was converted to Bath Technical Institute in 1910.
