House in row, now commercial premises. Mid to late C18 with C20 additions. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roof. PLAN: Tall property has been carefully restored externally, with added attic floor and mansard. EXTERIOR: Four storeys with attic and lower ground floor, two windows, all sashes in plain reveals, high mansard has large paired sash dormer, and four main floors each have paired sash and single, all twelve-pane, but of greater depth to lower floors, and with balconettes at first floor. Lower ground floor C20 door with side-light, and small paired sash, to left, early six-panel door in architrave with flat shaped slab hood on tall fluted brackets. Modillion cornice above second floor, cavetto cornice with blocking course and parapet, stack to left. INTERIOR: Not inspected. HISTORY: The street was laid out in 1707, on land owned by George Trim, just outside the mediaeval walls, but this building is a later replacement. The street retains its flagged pavements and sett-covered roadway.
