CHATHAM ROW (South side) Nos.13 AND 13A (Formerly Listed as: CHATHAM ROW Nos 1-12 (consec), Nos 13 and 13A, No.14) 11/08/72
GV II
Two terrace houses, stepped downhill to right. Late C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, double pitched pantile roofs with moulded stacks to right party walls. PLAN: Double depth. EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attics and basements. Stepped down coped parapets and stopped cornices, vertical joints between houses, platbands and plinths. No.13A to right has two window range with six/six pane sash windows and six-panel door to right with tall margin paned overlight. No.13 has plate glass sashes to tripartite windows to upper floors. To left of ground floor set back six-panel door, to right of centre C19 two/two pane sash window. To left return six/six pane sash window to left of both upper floors. INTERIORS: No. 13 inspected by Bath Council 1981, original `Tudor-style fireplace and dresser in basement, valuation report 1990. Original marble fireplace in front room, original mouldings but C20 flush doors throughout.
