Detached house. c1830. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar or dressed stone, slate roof. PLAN: Compact square block with paired hipped roofs behind continuous parapet, at acute angled junction of Wellsway and Entry Hill, with main symmetrical frontage facing north, and entrance from west (Wellsway). EXTERIOR: Three storeys, three windows per front, all four-pane sash, in plain reveals and to sill band at second floor and moulded architraves to sill band at first floor. Ground floor has similar sash to left, but deep flat roofed canted bay to right. At centre panelled door with transom light in moulded architrave with cornice-hood on volute consoles. Plain end pilasters with capitals, frieze with moulded cornice, blocking course and parapet. Plain left return has central twelve-pane at first and second floors, attached single storey addition, and two stacks with cappings. Front to Wellsway in ashlar, with three windows, all four-pane sashes, blind to ground floor, left, central six-panel door with transom light has sunk plain surround. Front has four pilasters, and all to plinth. Rear has two twelve-pane sashes to each floor, set to right, with single stack with capping. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
