Formerly known as: Nos.29 AND 30 MONMOUTH STREET.

Pair of terrace houses, formerly a public house. Late C18

MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roof.

EXTERIOR: Four storeys, two+three windows, all glazing-bar sashes. Two flat roofed dormers above three/three-pane to the attic, blind to bay three, and six/six-pane below, blind to bay five at second floor, and in moulded architraves to first floor. Second floor lights with small balconettes, first floor to balcony with panelled railing on brought forward full width former pub frontage with four large four-pane sashes, one door with transom light, and one blocked opening, all set to flat pilasters with full width entablature. Second floor has sill band and cornice, further cornice above attic, with blocking course and parapet, coped gables, each with stack.

INTERIORS: Inspected 1990, one window with original bars, central stairs with Doric colonnettes, some regency detailing.
