MORFORD STREET (West side) No.11 and attached steps and handrail (Formerly Listed as: MORFORD STREET Nos.3-27 (Odd)) 11/08/72

GV II

Formerly known as: Nos 10-22 (consec) & No.1 Belvedere Place MORFORD STREET. Terrace house, now flats. c1775-1789 with C19 and C20 alterations. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to front, now painted and to rear, double pile parapeted roof, concrete tile to front, pantile to rear, with coped party wall to left, no stacks. One build with No.13 Morford Street (qv) forming handed pair. Staircase to rear. EXTERIOR: Three storeys and basement, single window front. First floor has two/two-horned sash in plain reveal with stone sill, second floor has similar smaller window. Ground floor has two early C19 paired two/two-horned sash with border glazing in plain reveals with continuous stone sill to left, to right C20 six-panel door in chamfered reveal with stone wood on console brackets continuous with No.13 Morford Street, with two Pennant steps with wrought iron handrail with simple footscraper to left. Plinth to left, band course over ground floor continuous with No.13 Morford Street and moulded coping to parapet. Rear elevation has six/six-sashes, to second floor with horns, C20 alterations to basement and C20 porch shared with No.13 Morford Street sheltering new rear access to flats. INTERIOR: Not inspected, noted as having undergone alterations during conversion to flats.
