Pair of terrace houses, and shops. 1880-1890. MATERIALS: Machine cut limestone ashlar, roof unseen with large moulded brick stack on stone base to party wall. PLAN: Double depth plan. EXTERIOR: No.9 to right has three storeys, two-window range. No.10 has three storeys with attic and basement, three-window range. Continuous moulded parapet, cornice and ground floor platband, lintel frieze that rises as label moulds over second floor windows, two/two-pane sash windows to upper floors, paired to No.9 and paired to right of No.10. Ground floor, flanking party wall, are two shop windows with cornices to the fascias, moulded lintels supported by panelled pilasters on moulded sills and two rows of four panes to each window. Four-panel doors with overlights, one to right of No.9, one to left of No.10 and one to far left (access to upper floors). INTERIORS: Not inspected.
