Cottage. Early to mid C18, refenestrated in traditional style and extended in C20. Original building is timberframed, clad in weatherboarding on brick plinth with tiled roof, part catslide to rear and right side external chimneystack in English bond with some grey headers. Two storeys:two windows. Plan form is a two bay end chimneystack house.
EXTERIOR: Front has two C20 metal leaded light windows and an original ledged plank door with pintle hinges under a C20 weatherboarded porch with penticed tiled roof. Left side elevation has a small leaded light window near the top of the gable and C20 lean-to extension. The rear elevation has a C20 casement window to each floor and small C20 extension.
INTERIOR: Right side open fireplacewith wooden bressumer and English bond brickwork. Ceiling joists visible to the left but concealed under plastered ceiling to right and former central partition wall on ground floor is missing. Outshot has some original roof timbers and original ledged plank door with pintle hinges. A similar door leads to the half winder staircase. The upper floor has the timber frame visible with midrail and corner and intermediate posts with typical mid C18 profile. Partition wall between the two upper rooms with another original ledged plank door with pintle hinges and original floorboards. Diagonal tension braces visible to roof.
