MATERIALS & PLAN: the monument takes the form of a plain ashlar cross with square base and stepped plinth which is placed to the south east of the church and adjacent the churchyard wall, over which it can be clearly seen from the road.
The plain body of the Latin cross is without ornament. Names of the fallen are inscribed on the flanks. On the western side is inscribed: ‘ALSO THE SECOND WORLD WAR / 1939 – 1945’ with names of the fallen, below which is “AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN / THE MORNING WE WILL REMEMBER THEM”.
