17-20 West Street, Sheerness Dockyard, Kent

Sheerness grew prosperous largely because of its naval links through the dockyard. This helped many civilians to make a living building and repairing boats, and also providing goods for naval personnel, as was the case with Mr W Miller, who may be the man to the rear of the cart.
