The corner of Newgate Street and Warwick Lane showing a carving of Guy of Warwick on the side of number 9 Newgate Street. Guy of Warwick was a legendary medieval knight said to have slayed dragons and giants to prove his love for a woman called Felice. After eventually winning her love Guy realises that he has never done any deeds to serve God and so he returns to Wrawick to be come a hermit.
