Audley End House, Saffron Walden, Essex

Audley End House stands on the site of Walden Abbey and is pictured here reflected in the water. The Jacobean mansion was built in 1605-14 for the first Earl of Suffolk, although it has been greatly reduced to a more manageable size over the years. This property is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
