Baptist Chapel & Sunday School, St Peters Road, Arnesby, Leicestershire

This Chapel and Sunday School were built in 1799. They are on the site of an earlier chapel (c1719). The Society of Old Particular Baptists first came to Arnesby in 1702 from Kilby where it was founded in 1667. The renowned preacher Robert Hall (1763 to 1831) was born here while his father was Minister. He was especially known for his pulpit oratory. He also published numerous publications including "Apolopy for the Freedom of the Press" of 1793.
