Belgian Servicemen, City of London, Greater London

A group portrait of Belgian servicemen posed outside an office of L'Independance Belge, a Belgian newspaper published in London. In 1918, L'Independance Belge was registered at 5 Dane Street. However, in the Bedford Lemere daybook the photograph is recorded as having been taken in Tudor Street. It is believed to have been taken outside the entrance to Victoria House and Tudor House, also the premises of other newspaper and publishing companies.
