The exterior of Bents Brewery, Stone. Bent's Brewery was established in Newcastle-under-Lyme in the 1790s by William Bent. The company expanded in the late nineteenth century . When is photograph was taken in 1900 this brewery belonged to Thomas Montgomery's. In 1902 Thomas Montgomery's new brewery, on Mount Road in Stone, was purchased by Bents. This building (pictured) had only been built in 1889.
