Brookroyd Mills and Brookroyd Terrace, Elland, West Yorkshire
This mid-Victorian complex consists of two mills ('A mill' to the front with 'B mill' beyond) with a terrace of cottages built for the workforce in front. The mill overshadowed the life of the workers, both physically and metaphorically.
