Cammell Laird Shipyard, Birkenhead, Merseyside

These men were normally employed to make ship components, but during WWI the factory used its skilled workforce to manufacture wooden equipment, crates and accessories for military purposes. The design of the building meant that it was incredibly well lit by natural light.
