Capel County Primary School, Five Oak Green Road, Capel, Kent

The Capel Board School was built in 1875 on the site of an older school. Documents say "it was a handsome building, with the master's house in the middle, and the boys' school on one side, the girls' and infants' on the other". After 1870 local education boards were set up to provide schools and educate a larger number of poor children.
