Caston Windmill, Norfolk

This brick tower mill was built in 1864 for Edward Wyer and was disused by 1940. It was restored from 1970, at which time all the internal machinery was found to be present and intact. The farm building to the foreground was used as a supplies store. Find out more about windmills and watermills in our Teachers' Kit - Mills.
