Colston's Girl School, Cheltenham Road, Bristol

Colston's Girl School was built in 1891 and designed by W V Gough. It is built of red bricks with yellow brick and buff terracotta decoration in a striped effect. It was named after Edward Colston who was a Bristol merchant who gave money to help found the school and other Bristol institutions. The Society of Merchant Venturers are still involved with running the school.
