Combwell Priory, London Road, Goudhurst, Kent

Robert de Thurnham founded a Premonstratensian Abbey here which became an Augustinian Priory in 1220. After the dissolution it became the mansion house of the Culpepper and later Campion families. The present house was built around 1930 reusing medieval building material.
