Cumberland & Westmorland Convalescent Institution, Silloth, Cumbria

Built (or possibly just extended) in 1862 the hospital was used to provide convalescence and sea-bathing for the sick. The railways allowed people to move around the country with ease for the first time and helped promote sea-side trips for both health and recreation.
