Derwent Mills, Wakefield Road, Cockermouth, Cumbria

A cotton mill built before 1832. It is a large, dominant building of local stone rubble, which is four storeys high. In the mid nineteenth century Cockermouth was an industrial town with mills (wool, linen, cotton), hat factories and tanneries.
