Donnington Castle, Newbury, West Berkshire

The castle was built in 1386 by Sir Richard de Abbesbury of flint and stone and is now mostly ruins. The Great Gatehouse is a three storey building with two round towers projecting from the main part of the castle. This site is now in the care of English Herigage (2010).
