Firestone Bay Tower, Stonehouse, Plymouth

This blockhouse tower was built in 1537-39 and remodelled in the 19th century. It has a flat roof behind a battlemented parapet. This tower is part of a series of towers that were built for coastal defence in the reign of Henry VIII. Other towers in the series include Eastern King Tower, Fisher's Nose Tower, Madeira Road and Devil's Point towers.
