Former Abbey Sewage Works, Corporation Road, Leicester

This building was built in 1891, as a sewage works pumping station. It has four beam engines with twenty nine feet beams. They were among the last of this type to be built. They were made by Messrs Grimson of Leicester. Despite its practical function the inside of it is highly decorated with large decorated iron supporting columns.
