Gainsborough's House, 46 Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, Suffolk
Thomas Gainsborough, was born here in 1727. He was one of the most famous landscape and portrait painters of the 18th century. This is probably a 17th century house and it has clearly had extensive 18th century alterations, such as the 3 Gothic French windows on the ground floor.
