Gas Street Basin, Birmingham, West Midlands

This picture of Gas street Basin was taken from the site of Worcester bar near the cement wharf. The canalside areas of Birmingham have been greatly redeveloped into leisure facilities. The canals that were once vital to the city's industry are now mainly used by pleasure boats, while many of the towpaths have become cycle tracks.
