Goodfellows Hall, Lower Bridge Street, Chester, Cheshire

This house was known as Bridge House. The building of it marked the beginning of a new era for the 'Rows' in Chester. There were always problems with light and access in the Row system. Many wealthy landowners decided to buy larger sections of the Rows. They then replaced them with new roomy and well-lit accommodation. One such person was Lady Mary Calveley who built Bridge House in 1676.
