Great Hall, Great Dixter, Northiam, East Sussex

Wounded soldiers sit at the table in the Great Hall whilst some dine in bed. Great Dixter was turned into a convalescent home for soldiers during World War I and the Great Hall used as a ward. The photographer, who was also the owner, had the house re-worked in 1910-2.
