Grinton Smelting Mill, Grinton, North Yorkshire

Grinton Lead Smelting Mill was enlarged and rebuilt after being purchased by the Quaker company in c1820. The present mill is a rebuilding on a very old site. It is the best preserved lead smelting mill in the area. The mill closed in about 1886 and has been used as a farm store building since.
